Join MoCoLMP for a visit to Baltimore's Reginald F. Lewis Museum which offers exhibits on 400 years of Maryland's African American history, including industry, politics, leisure activities, sports, media, the arts, education, and the military. It documents both contributions made by African Americans to the state of Maryland, and the struggles they endured.

Just this October, the museum opened a new special exhibit, "Lynching in Maryland," in collaboration with the Maryland Lynching Memorial Project.

The Lynching in Maryland installation seeks to honor the victims of the 38 documented racial terror lynchings that occurred in the state between 1854 and 1933. The installation serves as a solemn reminder of the atrocities committed, while also educating the public about the lasting impact of racial terror on African Americans and their communities.

Another current exhibit, iWITNESS: Media & The Movement, examines how the media impacted the Civil Rights Movement.

Join us for a visit to the museum and, if you have time, for lunch afterwards.
